China Glaze: Sexy In the City

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was craaaazzzzy, hence the absence from the blog. I also broke a nail or two :-( Today I have one of my favorite blues, China Glaze's Sexy in the City, which saw a lot of toe action last summer. Sexy in the City is a vibrant blue in the bottle that translates to a blue/green/turquoise on the nail, depending upon lighting. (see pics below). It has a smooth application. I used 2 coats here.

So on to the good stuff, I stopped at a mall on my Monday road trip to let the little one stretch his legs and potty and what do i see???..... a Konad kiosk!!!!!!!!! Im so glad I have so many expenses tied up right now or I would've lost my mind at that 5 x 5 box. Let's not kid ourselves though, I finally broke down and purchased some of that "Special Polish", which I consider to be relatively expensive at $6.99 a bottle since its not really formulated to wear alone. I also picked up 2 stamping plates. So of course after being in the car for 12hrs I needed a little therapy, plus I couldn't wait to see what was so special about this "Special Polish"! Long story short... I'm now a believer. After 6 months of playing with stamping, I've finally gotten a decent result. Here I used Konad stamping plate M64 and the "Special Polish" in silver.
sunlight

hard to tell from the poor photo quality but its almost a true blue in the bottle
indoor (see how the polish is more green than blue)
