Sorority Week: Caviar Mani

Happy Friday Eve!!!!! Well it's Thursday and the majority of the greeks from across the country will be pouring into Atlanta today. Shout out to all my sorors of Sigma Gamma Rho coming into town. Sorority week continues today with a caviar mani. I did a post a little while ago on the caviar mani so I'll do just a little quick blurb here.

To achieve this look, I used Color.Club's Daisy Does It and China Glaze's Sexy In The City. The 3D effect is created using microbeads (pic below) from your local craft store. They come in a variation of colors but since I don't own blue or gold/yellow I rolled my clear ones in my desired polish color. Beware, they will clump together while drying so you have to declump (is that a word? Oh well, my blog, my word...lol) when applying.

First, paint your nail with a base coat followed by your desired color. Next, paint a second coat and sprinkle the beads on your nail. Press the beads lightly so that they stick which will also get rid of the excess. Do one finger at a time as you don't want your 2nd coat to dry. No top coat needed.

As stated before, this is not a practical design nor is it meant to last past a day or two as the beads do tend to rub off. However, it is an amazing effect for a night out. Enjoy!

P.S. Im not so sure why my pictures are so grainy as of late. I'll have to look into that when time permits.
