Nails For a Cause: Polish Us Pink

Today kicks off October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I have a second post for you. The lovely Susan over at Subtle Shimmer is the brain child of ”Polish Us Pink”. In efforts to use our talents and medium as bloggers, she has designated Mondays during the month of October to bring awareness to breast cancer through pink nails! Since I was already planning to dedicated my blog this month to awareness, of course I'm all in for Polish Us Pink. Check out what I used and a little information on breast cancer after the jump:

I went with a pin drag/non water water marble design for my first ”Polish Us Pink” post. I used Nicole by OPI Pink Seriously and LA Colors striper Baby Pink. The base of my accent nail is Nail Sparks #86, which is a really soft shimmery pink. This was my first attempt at this technique. I kinda like it!
”Definition of breast cancer: Cancer that forms in tissues of the breast, usually the ducts (tubes that carry milk to the nipple) and lobules (glands that make milk). It occurs in both men and women, although male breast cancer is rare.” If you don't know anyone with or affected by breast cancer than count yourself among the minority and extremely lucky. FYI: A double post may happen a bit this month as I want to dedicated my blog this month to Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness month. So be prepared for lots of pink and purple!!
