MANICure Monday: Purple Up for Military Kids

If you're anything like me you sit at home and watch those military homecomings with tears rolling down your face, snot draining out your nose, and a box of tissue on hand. Knowing several military wives I hear first hand what it's like to raise military kids. Well April is the “Month of the Military Child,” "a time to honor youth impacted by deployment. We are encouraging everyone to wear purple as a visible way to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is the combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red and Navy blue. OMK hopes everyone will take this opportunity to appreciate and celebrate these young heroes."- www.ourmilitarykids.org

I went with a purple camo design o_O. Oh, you don't see it? Bwahahaha well good. It was an uber fail! I got out my nail brush and acetone and got to swirling. For this watercolor I used OPI's Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh as the base. The purples are China Glaze Spontaneous, Zoya Marley, and an unknown Color Club. Here I added Essie Matte About You

Thank you to the troops and their families for their continuing sacrifice and dedication. You are appreciated!
