Polish Days: Bacon Bacon Bacon

It's that time of the month....no, not that time ladies... time for polish days! You know, that uber cool day when awesome nail gals from around the world post a mani based on a theme at the same time on the same day? Yeah, that day! Well this months theme is "Seven Deadly Sins." Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, pride, whoever came up with these had no intentions on me living right, I'm convinced of that. With the recent April Fools joke from Scope for bacon flavored mouthwash I got to thinking, when did the craze for bacon begin, how far will it go, and when will it stop! Take a look after the jump at just a small representation of the 50leven bacon products on the market and my bacon mani representing GLUTTONY!

I'm not one of those "If you eat pork, you're going to hell with gasoline drawers on" type people. Personally, I choose to stay away from pork to improve my chances of not stroking out before 65. However, I have friends that will try ANYTHING bacon related but here are some of the weirdest things I found while googling bacon. This doesn't even includeall the amazingly wild food combos people are coming with using bacon

watch, air freshner, dish towel, bracelet, toothpaste

band aids, mints, icing, floss, soap (because smelling like bacon is ALWAYS the goal o_O)
The April Fools joke
Still not convinced we're taking the bacon craze too far? Well check this out.

Baby formula
And now what you came here for: Bacon bacon bacon!!!! For the pig I used Sinful Colors Cotton Candy, Essie Super Bossa Nova, and Wet n Wild Black Creme. The base for the bacon is China Glaze  Ingrid and I used acrylic paints for the actual bacon

Are you a bacon lover? What's the wildest bacon inspired food or product you've tried?

Don't forget to check out all the other ladies and their take on the 7 deadly sins.
